The Durapower 1+3 System
Several duraApower1+3 units are combined for most small to medium projects and they are installed and supplied in a standard configuration in a coated aluminium cabinet. They can be assembled to specific requirements to include additional fuses, transformers and sockets but this adds to the cost as they become non-standard units. However, each durApower1+3 unit is still an independent manual CP controller with no centralised monitoring.
The figure to the right shows a cabinet with six units. Apart from the durApower1+3 units there are other electronic parts (e.g. sockets, transformers and fuses) that are included at the client request.
The cabinets used are coated aluminium.
Transformers of different ratings are used depending on size of zone, current demand and specific customer requirements.
When there are multiple zones there is often interaction between zones and it is recommended that to measure instant offs the power is turned off to all units at once and the instant off measured using a DVM. These can be compared with instant offs measured using the durApower1+3 at commissioning to assess any interference.
